The Jackson Hole Police Department employs a total of 34 sworn and non-sworn people that serve a permanent population of about 8,600 in addition to the many tourists and visitors each year.

Community Policing
The department utilizes various forms of Community and Problem Oriented Policing to provide the best service to our community. Besides our patrol and investigative functions, we also provide community education training programs on topics such as shoplifting, employee theft, animal control and child safety. As an added service to our community, we take requests for radar trailer placement, house checks and speed enforcement.
